Ever wonder how your friends or other people get to add a heart shape symbol or a music note on their Facebook Status? Well, worry no more coz here is a list of the symbols/characters and a simple ‘How to’ guide to get it done…

First, you have to set your keyboard to ‘Num Lock’. Next, hold down the ‘ALT‘ button and press the following number/s:

1 – ☺
2 – ☻
3 – ♥
4 – ♦
5 – ♣
6 – ♠
7 – •
8 – ◘
9 – ○
10 – ◙
11 – ♂
12 – ♀
13 – ♪
14 – ♫
15 – ☼
16 – ►
17 – ◄
18 – ↕
19 – ‼
20 – ¶

It’s just easy right? Now, go on and try to make your status on Facebook with these symbols.

By the way, for those who are using Notebooks or Laptops, you can press the Fn and Alt then the number of the character of your choice. In my case, since I don’t have a Num Lock key on my Laptop, I just Press FN + Alt + 3 and then I got the ♥ heart symbol.
